Four-piece sterling silver coffee and tea set. Made by Georg Jensen in Denmark. This set comprises coffeepot, teapot, creamer, and sugar. Coffeepot ovoid and teapot globular; both have stumpy upturned spout, raised cover with ebony finial, and ebony side handle. Creamer ovoid with discreet lip spout and same handle. Sugar round and squat with same cover and finial. Spare voluptuous forms with beading around ebony mounts, and subtle hand-hammered shimmer. This design illustrated in Janet Drucker’s Georg Jensen, 1997, p. 216. Postwar marks with no. 80A (teapot, creamer, and sugar) and 80B (coffeepot). Fine condition.
