Modern sterling silver tomato serving bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Curved sides and short and straight foot ring. Vertical pilasters comprising graduated and stylized tomatoes applied to bowl exterior between incised bands. Fully marked including pattern no. 22888 (first produced in 1940), director's letter m (1907-1947), and wartime star (1943-5). Very good condition.
