Victorian English London Sterling Silver Tea Coffee Set

Victorian sterling silver tea and coffee service. Made by Joseph II and Albert Savory in London, 1851-53. This service comprises 1 teapot with hinged cover, 1 coffeepot with hinged cover, 1 creamer, and 1 sugar.

All pieces are fluted, rest on 4 foliate feet, and have foliate scroll handles and scalloped rims. Ornament includes satin-finished leaves and repoussé blossoms. All handles have applied berries and all finials have satin-finished berry. The teapot and sugar are squat and tapering. The coffeepot and creamer are baluster-form. The creamer and sugar have lightly gilt interiors.

A fine early Victorian service that combines the French Rococo with the English fruit motif. Fully hallmarked. The coffeepot is dated 1853. All other pieces dated 1851. Excellent condition with delicate patina. All pieces have engraved monogram.
