Each: Ovoid body and stained-wood scroll handle and flat cover with tooled finial in form of seated jaguar– an exotic touch to a spare form. A smart design by the famed Mexican maker. 1940s hallmark and eagle stamp (1948-ca 1955). Very good condition.

Ovoid bowl has leafy-ring end handles with graduated beading fix-mounted to cast ram’s heads. Cover stepped and domed with same. Egg-and-dart knop on stepped foot. Beading and Greek key. Beautiful midcentury Classicism.
Early mark (1854-70) includes maker’s and retailer’s stamps, and pre-1860 pattern no. 472. Fine condition.

Vertical ornament in form of alternating wide plain bands and narrow acid-etched ones with Grotesque ornament. Cover has same in arcade form. A restrained deployment of the traditional leaf-and-vase motif. Fully marked including pattern no. 12246A1 and director’s letter m (1907-47). Very good condition.

Sale Price: $906.50Japonesque sterling silver inkwell. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1882. Drum form with curved shoulder, short neck, and hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover. Leaves and tendrils and butterflies, too, applied to honeycomb hand-hammered ground. Bonus bug (a modish beetle) on cover. Interior glass lined. Fully marked including pattern no. 6771 (first produced in 1882), director’s letter M (1873-91), and phrase “Sterling-Silver”. Excellent condition and patina.
