Belle Epoque 950 silver covered vegetable dish. Made by Maillard, Rousseau in Paris, ca. 1900. Bowl has short stem and raised foot with leaf-and-dart ornament. Flat rim with stylized ornament and figural swan handles. Cover has leaf-and-dart ornament and bud finial mounted to pierced palmettes, in turn, mounted to solid dome. A fine turn-of-the-century piece with Art Nouveau and Empire elements. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.
