George III sterling silver soup tureen. Made by Paul Storr in London in 1804. Round bowl on raised foot. Reeded bracket side handles with cast lion’s head mounts. Double-domed cover with reeded and leaf-capped ring finial. Ornament: Bead-and-reel, beading, fluting, and gadrooning. Engraved armorials. Sheffield plate liner.

Magnificent and sumptuous. Bold Classicism by the great Regency silversmith. Marked cover and base. Very good condition.
