German Classical 800 silver tea caddy, ca 1910. Rectilinear with chamfered corners. A nymph and putto gambol in low relief. Possible seasonal allegory with hand-warming brazier in one scene and armfuls of harvested grain in another. Cover snug-fitting and domed with chased patera on stippled leaf ground. Stamp for Hanau maker Georg Roth. Excellent condition with strong definition.

At bottom 800 silver mount with pierced and chased scrollwork, as well as musicians and colonnade. Silver neck collar. Silver ball stopper with figural finial in form of water carrier; clear glass plug. Marks possibly for Wolf & Knell in Hanau. Good condition with deep patina. Plug sanded down on one side.

Chased and engraved grape bunches and leaves as well as vine handles, spouts, finials, and rims. The relief ornament and large forms are representative of Tiffany’s midcentury wares. Three-letter monogram (EAB) engraved on each piece.
