Cover hinged with tapering tab; top gently curved with engine-turned horizontal bands and wraparound borders; central rectangular mono plate (vacant). Cedar-lined and partitioned interior. Underside leather lined. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Pair of Chrysanthemum sterling silver serving trays. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Each: Shaped oval well, curved sides with lobing and applied leaf border. A profusion of blossoms bunched at ends and wrapped around bracket handles. Scalloped rim with alternating flower heads and leaves. Oval foot ring reeded with applied leaves. Fabulous early pieces in the celebrated New World interpretation of a Japanese motif, which was introduced in 1880.

Cover hinged with tapering tab; top gently curved with engine-turned wave ornament bordered by fretwork, and centrally mounted gold ring inset with word “CIGARS”. Interior cedar lined and partitioned. Underside leather lined.

Fully marked including Birmingham assay stamp and mark for WC Griffiths, a silversmith and retailer. Very good condition.

Edwardian Neoclassical glass tray with sterling silver gallery. Made by R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. in Wallingford, Conn., ca 1910. Glass is clear with cut star. Gallery is straight with pierced ornament, reeded rim, and cutout tubular handles. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. C1529. Very good condition.

English figural cockatoo decanter, 1913. Blanc de chine body with softly delineated plumage and plain c-scroll handle. Sterling silver stocky legs with scaley talons as well as head with dramatic crown, funny, saggy jowls, and red glass eyes; hinged with elegantly curved beak that opens not for raucous cawing but for pouring a rare vintage. A great novelty that evokes the country house aviary.

Two central wells of which one rectangular for ashtrays and one round for lighter. Lighter round and bellied with high-looping side handles and hinged and tubular wick cover. Ashtrays rectangular with tapering sides. Acid-etched rinceaux ornament. From the era when a thoughtful host supplied tobacco.
