Acid-etched scene depicting a patriotic assembly, with one child holding a sword, another waving a flag, and a third beating a drum. Two others are distracted by a jack-in-the-box. Mounted to shaft are four scrolled arms each terminating in basket set in oval ring mounted to 4 scrolled supports. Baskets oval with solid well and scrolled rim interspersed with scallop shells. Rim wide and turned down with chased vegetation with serrated leaves, and chased and applied flowers (lily of the valley) that spillover the scrolled rim. More lily of the valley (chased) on bowl exterior. Foot has chased meandering tendrils.
