Sides and front are silver; back blue enamel: Frame has loose radiating wave pattern, and handle has tightly crimped linear wave pattern. Beveled glass. A snazzy Art Deco vanity accessory. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Front has honeycomb hand hammering and is applied with modish insects (beetle and butterfly) and flowers (blossoming prunus branches and irises). Dense and dynamic ornament with scrolls and flowers. Crown has oval cartouche (vacant) between embedded lion’s heads. Stained-wood back and hinged support. Fully marked including pattern no. 9156 and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition with deep patina.
