Aesthetic sterling silver compote. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1916. Wide and shallow bowl on baluster shaft with gadrooned knop and raised foot. Acid etched ornament. In bowl well a scroll and leaf pattern surrounding central rondel with 3-letter monogram. Leaf and dart rims. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 19176A (first produced in 1916), and director’s letter m. Excellent condition with strong definition.
