Victorian sterling silver drinks set. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1888. This set comprises pitcher and mug on tray.

Pitcher and mug have curved bodies and split-mounted branch handles. Tray lobed quatrefoil. Applied scroll rims. For fermented refreshment as indicated by the on-message fruiting grapevines in tactile relief. Hefty rusticity wrought from precious metal. Each has engraved script monogram. Finest quality sterling silver water pitcher in Louis XV pattern. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass., ca 1920. Ovoid baluster with leaf and shell pilasters. Helmet mouth and beaded leaf-capped and -mounted high-looping scroll handle; foot raised with curvilinear rim. Applied Classical ornament with masks, shells, and leafing scrollwork set in engraved curvilinear frames; two scrolled frames of which one vacant and the other engraved with single letter monogram. Fancy American Victorian sterling silver water pitcher, ca 1900. Ovoid with baluster bowl on domed foot. Helmet mouth and high-looping leaf-capped double-scroll handle. Chased fluid ornament with leafing scrollwork and tendrils. Rim interior has leafing scrolls. Turn-of-the-century sumptuousness with nice heft. Fully marked including Shreve, Crump & Low stamp, no. 1835, and volume (5 pts). Excellent condition.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver water pitcher. Made by International Silver Co. in Connecticut. Baluster with asymmetrical oval mouth; stepped and round foot ring with flat beading. High-looping handle wrapped with abstract leaves; scroll terminal inset with Jensen-inspired seed-spilling pod on wire stem. The influence of the master applied to a traditional form. Marked “International / Sterling / La Paglia Designed / 208”. Very good condition.

Plymouth sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1909. Tapering and paneled ovoid body, reeded helmet mouth, capped scroll bracket handle, and stepped oval foot. A fine piece in the classic pattern. Fully marked including maker's stamp, pattern name, no. A2788, date symbol, and volume (3 3/8 pints). Very good condition.

Fully marked including maker’s and craftsman’s (Fletcher S. Carter) stamps as well as phrase “Boston / Museum of Fine Arts / Reproduction”. Very good condition.

Rare Chrysanthemum sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Double-gourd with irregular fluting; helmet mouth with leaves wrapped around reeded rim. Shoulder has applied leaf and flowerhead border with radiating squiggles incised on body. High-looping handle with layered and sprawling leaf mount. Same beneath handle. Four volute-scroll supports with leaf and flowerhead mounts.

Royal Windsor sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Towle in Newburyport, Mass. Ovoid bowl with helmet mouth, flower-capped double scroll handle, and domed foot. Chased and scalloped frames (vacant) interspersed with pendant flowers. Shoulder and foot rim have alternating flower heads and volute scrolls with beaded border. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 67420, and volume (“8 half pints”). Very good condition.
