American Classical coin silver baby cup. Girdled top, bellied bowl, leaf-capped s-scroll handle, and stepped foot. Bowl chased with fluidly scrolling vegetation and foot rim has leaf-and-berry ornament. Beautiful with a strong regional association. Maker’s stamp for Taylor & Lawrie, who were active in Philadelphia in the 1830s-50s. Capped and high-looping side handles with graduated beading. A traditional form. Suitable for presentation.
