Craftsman sterling silver trinket box. Made by Arthur Stone in Gardner, Massachusetts, ca 1920. Oval with straight sides and molded base. Cover gently curved with molded rim. Gilt interior. Fully marked including silversmith’s initial T for Herbert A. Taylor, who was active from 1908-37. Very good condition and patina.

English Victorian sterling silver card case, ca 1880. Rectangular with hinged cover and scrolled sides. On front is the Albert Memorial with cityscape in background. On back are leafing scrolls and flowers, and central heraldic cartouche (vacant).

The Albert Memorial was designed by George Gilbert Scott in memory of Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert, who died in 1861. The Gothic structure was opened in 1872. The statue of the defunct was added in 1876.
