Pair of traditional Georgian sterling silver 4-light candelabra. Made by Asprey in London, 1992-3. Each: Four capped and curvilinear arms each terminating in single faceted socket with same wax pan and baluster pendant. Arms mounted to tall and faceted baluster finial set in girdled and knopped baluster shaft on square, stepped, and chamfered foot. A stylish step back in time by a noted maker.

English Georgian Classical sterling silver ewer, 18th century. Girdled ovoid bowl and scrolled helmet mouth with beaded and flowering strapwork rim; cast double-scroll handle with Venus, her torso undraped offering grapes to recumbent Cupid. Satyr head applied to spout exterior. Chased leaf borders. Gilt-washed interior. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

English Modern sterling silver box. Tall and rectangular with curved corners. Cover hinged with gently curved top and double-scroll tab. Box interior cedar-lined with open leather-lined bottom. Cover interior gilt. Worn marks including maker’s stamp for Arthur & John Zimmerman, a Birmingham maker active from the 1920s to 1940s. Very good condition.

Each: Spool socket with detachable bobeche and round bowl on knopped and flanged half-fluted shaft; raised foot on curvilinear six-shell base with engraved coat of arms. Stylish midcentury Georgian. George II sterling silver salver. Made by Richard Rugg in London in 1755. Round with cast serpentine shell-and-leaf rim and 3 leaf-capped volute scroll supports. Well center has lozenge with engraved interlaced script monogram in leafing and flowering scroll support. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Rectangular window with curvilinear upper corners in plain and flat rectangular surround with wide lower rail. With glass, silk lining, and stained wood back and hinged easel support. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Victorian glass decanter with sterling silver mounts. Made by William & George Sissons in Sheffield in 1876. Cylindrical with spread base; etched fruiting grapevines. Sterling silver collar with branch-form scroll-handle mounted at base to beaded gridle. Cover domed and hinged with cast finial in figure of reclining nude ephebe holding a jug. Cover and collar have chased and applied flowers in irregularly curved frames on stippled ground. Shell-form spout with horned and hirsute satyr’s head.... Click for details

George IV sterling silver bowl. Made by Elder & Co. in Edinburgh in 1831. Round with tapering sides and raised round foot. Scalloped frames with chased leaf and flower border on stippled ground, surmounted by open fruiting grapevine border; cast flower and leaf rim. Elegant Scottish Regency Classicism. Fully marked. Very good condition with nice patina.

Cover hinged with tapering tab; top gently curved with engine-turned wave ornament bordered by fretwork, and centrally mounted gold ring inset with word “CIGARS”. Interior cedar lined and partitioned. Underside leather lined.

Fully marked including Birmingham assay stamp and mark for WC Griffiths, a silversmith and retailer. Very good condition.
