Pair of Chinese silver vases, ca 1900. Each: Baluster with spool neck and flared mouth. Applied and engraved ornament: Winding, craggy blossoming prunus branches and perched and flying birds. Stained rosewood mount. Chinese characters marked on vase underside. Very good condition and patina. Minor wood losses and wear.

Chinese silver gilt and enamel box. Rhinoceros-form with flexed ears, concentric neck rings, short stumpy legs, and outsized hoofs. Rich yellow gilding embellished with cobalt enamel scrollwork and cabochon-cut turquoise beads. Oval dorsal cover with baby rhinoceros finial – same in small scale. Marked Silver. Condition: Very good with excellent gilding. Minor enamel loss on head.

Chinese export silver cocktail shaker, ca 1900. Tapering cup. Cover has curved shoulders and cylindrical neck with cap and built-in strainer. Repousse chrysanthemums on stippled ground. Cover sides have engraved bands and dense slash lines. Armorial frame vacant as is cap top. Hallmarked with Chinese characters and letters HC for Hung Chong, who was active in Shanghai and Canton. Very good condition.

Set of 8 Asian export silver cordials, ca 1910. Each: Tapering bowl on knopped stem on raised foot mounted to round base. Scary, scaly dragon applied to bowl as well as an unidentified tentacular mass, suggestive of a firewater-induced hallucination. Two cordials unmarked. The remaining 6 are hallmarked with P set in star and number 900 (4 also marked with Asian characters). Very good condition.

Decoration is Egrets standing on a rock outcropping with the clouds depicted in the sky and trees and decoration. 2 different scenes one on the front and one on the back of the bowl. This elegant Antique set of 6 Chinese Silver Coffee Spoons was made circa 1890. Each spoon is hallmarked “SF” for the maker, 90 for the silver standard and a Chinese character mark. The bowl of the spoon is of plain design. The stem is wrapped from the midsection to the terminal with a thick wire form piece of silver.
