Large Edwardian sterling silver and crystal wheelbarrow. Made by William Comyns in London in 1907.

Shaped rectangular crystal bowl with cut flowers and leaves. Bowl set in sterling silver frame with two stretchers terminating in volute scrolls, front splayed supports with same brackets, and large front wheel. Spokes and brackets in pierced sterling silver with leaves and flowers. An ornamental version of a piece of serious agricultural equipment. Fully marked. Very good condition.

On exterior are 3 chased paneled curvilinear frames for engraving two or three generations of winners' names. Fully marked including pattern no. 18309A (first produced in 1912) and director’s letter m. Very good condition.
