American sterling silver salver, ca 1890. Shallow and round well. Wide shoulder with scrolled and reeded rim, and open and scrolled side handles. Lots of fancy ornament including applied garlands and pendant flowers spilling into well, and scallop shells set in open frames. Four leaf supports. The works! Marked “Sterling / 5152 / 15 1/2 in”. No maker’s stamp. Possibly by Redlich in New York. Very good condition.

Sterling silver bowl on plate Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Bowl: Squat with wavy and flared rim and short scrolled foot with bracket supports. Gilt interior. Plate: Round with scalloped rim. Plain and deep wavy star well with chased scrolls at points. Both pieces have pierced and chased ornament including fluid and dynamic scrolls, beading, waving, and twisted fluting.

Twelve Edwardian dinner plates. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1916. Each: Plain circular well and four curved sides with double-scroll corners. Chased and engraved ornament: Fluid leaf set in scrolling-leaf frame alternating with quatrefoil leaf over stippled lunettes. Rosette-inset guilloche rim. Engraved armorial with Latin motto “Patriis virtutibus” (that is, “By hereditary virtues”). A suitably aristocratic sentiment for such a sumptuous set.
