Two fine pieces in a distinctive pattern that works with both Colonial Revival and Art Deco table settings. The pattern was first produced in 1912. Hallmarks include director’s letter m (1907-47). Cut-glass powder jar with sterling silver cover. Made by Unger Brothers in Newark, ca 1900. Jar has curved sides and cut flutes alternating with notched ferns. Cover encircled with elongated female figure terminating in flowers (irises) in repousse. A great example of the period’s woman-flower motif – in this case, slightly self- referencing with the outstretched arm picking one of the flowers. Interlaced monogram.
