Round dish with wide and reeded rim and carved handle. Cover domed with chased and repousse flowers and leaf-mounted c-scroll handle. Blossoming prunus branch (also silver) and leafing branch (copper) applied to well and spillover the rim. Presentation dated Christmas 1882 engraved on underside. Bowl: Curved and steeply tapering with turned-down rim and domed foot. Plateau: Octagonal and domed on corner bracket supports. Curvilinear frames and Adams-style ornament in form of garlands, beribboned wreaths, scallop shells, and volute pilasters. Bowl has loose-mounted wreath rings.
