French 950 silver desk box, ca. 1910. Rectangular with paneled sides. Cover is hinged with molded rim. On top is rectangular cartouche bordered by garlands, scrolls, and foliage. Elegant and subdued. Art Nouveau with a hint of Rococo. Box and cover interior cedar lined. Box underside lined with leather. Mercury head hallmark. Excellent condition with delicate patina and crisp corners.
