Sterling silver bowl. Made by Simons Bros. in Philadelphia, ca. 1900. Scrolled and rectilinear well and flared rim. Sides interior have chased frames overlaid with naturalistic flowers in low relief. Some look as if they can be plucked out the bowl. Script monogram engraved in well. Hallmark includes no. 1850. Excellent condition with fine detail and patina.

Sinuous side handles, splayed at top with flowers and foliage. Gilt interior. A fine design that incorporates historical (Rococo) and modern (Art Nouveau) elements. The pattern (no. 11665) was first produced in 1893. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.
