Sterling silver scallop shell. Made by Meriden Britannia (part of International) in Connecticut. Dynamic flutes and old-fashioned open tree handle. Hallmark includes no. WB141 and retailer’s name, Black, Starr, Frost-Gorham, which operated under this name beginning in 1929. Excellent condition.

Seven partitions in form of reeded double loops mounted to quadrilateral frame on corner supports with volute scrolls and flowers. Frame has central stretcher and floral repousse.
