Victorian sterling silver chamberstick. Made by Horace Woodward & Co. in London in 1894. Lobed and bellied socket on raised trapezoidal base mounted to center of rectangular tray. Scrolled handle with impressed thumb rest. Thumb rest, tray, and bobeche rims gadrooned. Bobeche detachable. An inspired example of Georgian Revival. Large tray guaranteed to catch any dripping or puddling wax. Engraved armorial with Latin motto Ex candore decus (that is, Honor from sincerity). Very good condition.... Click for details

Sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1900. Ovoid body, flared mouth, and c-scroll handles with realistic leaf and bud mounts. Spread foot has same applied to four supports. Interior has gilt wash. A fine design with lots of room for engraving. Hallmark includes pattern no. 14417 (first produced in 1900) and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.
