Turn-of-the-century German Rococo silver carriage. A closed vehicle with cutout windows and four wheels. Exterior decorated with chased cherubs in a state of nature. A pretty miniature vehicle drawn by a prancing horse. The coachman holds the reins in one hand and a whip in the other. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina. Three wheels rotate.

Upward tapering sides and scroll handle. Acid-etched frieze depicting sailor-suited, flag-holding, all-American boy with exotic coevals in native dress relegated to background. Symbolic imagery enhanced with verse: “Little Indian, Sioux or Crow, little frosty Eskimo, little Turk or Japanese—Oh! Don’t you wish that you were me?”
