| An American Sterling Silver Ewer & Stand decorated in an Antique English design from 1759. The sterling ewer is decorated with a repousse branch design of fruits and flowers and a figural dolphin is perched atop of the ornate scroll handle. The raised stand is fluted and has a scallop shaped edge. The shaped sections of the stand are all trimmed with an acanthus leaf design and six of these twelve sections are adorned with two alternating repousse designs- a winged male bust and a ribboned cornucopia of fruits and flowers. Made by Gorham Mfg. Corp., Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1910. Fully Hallmarked. Also stamped London 1759 to denote that the piece is a reproduction of an Antique English design. Lovely Patina.
