Antique Gorham Sterling Bottle Coaster, 1910

This is an elegant sterling silver bottle coaster made in the Edwardian style by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI in 1910. It is fully hallmarked on the underside of the base with Gorham’s hallmark, sterling, pattern # 4500 and Gorham’s date symbol for pieces made in 1910. The body of the coaster is pierced with a geometric pattern and decorated with a pendant laurel wreathe. This coaster is very versatile. It may be used to hold any type of bottle…wine, water, soda or juice. Is also of a particularly unusual shape. Most of the coasters made do not have high sides, as does this one. Height: 5 1/4 Inches. Weight: 11.5 Troy Ounces. Condition: Very Good.   Price: $1,850   Stock #BF260
