Victorian Silver Inkstand, Martin, Hall & Co. 1885
| This stately Victorian period sterling silver Inkstand was made by Martin Hall & Co. of Sheffield, England, in 1885. It is fully hallmarked on the Inkstand as well as the collars and hinged lids of the two sterling mounted cut glass inkwells. The inkstand is designed as a gadrooned plinth with a pierced gallery, the plinth supporting two inkwells set in a pierced gallery style holder. The inkstand has a barley twist design handle in between the two bottles and a depression for pens in the front of the stand. The inkstand is supported on four bun shaped feet. The inkstand, on the whole, is very masculine in stature. It would make the perfect gift for the man who has everything. Weight: 31.2 Troy Ounces Weighable. Length: 11 5/8 Inches.
