TIFFANY STERLING COMPOTE, 1919
| This elegant sterling silver compote by Tiffany & Co., New York was made in the Art Deco style. The circular body is pierced with a geometric band of heart shaped and fleur-de-lis motifs. The compote is fully marked with Tiffany’s maker’s mark, sterling mark, pattern #19553A, and “m” for pieces made between 1907 and 1947. The pattern number combined with the date letter indicates that this compote was probably made in 1919. This compote would make a wonderful wedding, anniversary, birthday or Valentine’s Day gift due to the nature of the heart shaped decoration. Diameter: 8 1/4 Inches. Weight: 12 Troy Ounces. Condition: Excellent.
