| Beautiful German Silver Fruit Centerpiece Bowl, circa 1900. The bowl is of oval shell form, one end with grapevine form handle with a putti climbing the vine at the base and the suspended end terminating in a hook to hold grape shears. At the end of the bowl, a fox is perched waiting for a “snack.” The bowl is cast and chased to look like a wave decorated shell with an openwork scroll decorated rim. The feet are of grapevine and grape cluster form. This bowl is quite extraordinary. The workmanship is of a very high level. The figures are realistically and beautifully depicted.
