| Pair of George II Silver Gilt Castors, maker’s mark I.W, London 1754. This beautifully cast pair of castors was made in the mid 18th century in London. They are chased with flower heads, which was indicative of mid 1750’s design. The bodies are each of pear shape raised on circular pedestal foot, detachable pierced tops with foliate finials. These would be true conversation pieces on a dining table or in any public room of a home. Both marked on underside of body, one cover marked (minor split at seam). Height: 6 1/2 inches.
