GORHAM STERLING MOUNTED CUT GLASS PITCHER, 1897
| This beautiful Silver mounted cut glass pitcher by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI is a prime example of the crystal pieces produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, commonly known as the “brilliant period” of cut glass. The cut glass body is of flared cylindrical form. The body is hand cut with vertical bands and horizontal hobnail motifs. The handle is of shaped “c” scroll form. The top is crowned with a sterling section with shaped spout and chased and engraved with a border of grapes and grapevine motif. Height: 10 1/4 inches. Condition: Very good.
