STERLING SILVER TROPHY CUP, HAVANA, CUBA, 1941
| This American Sterling Silver Trophy Cup was presented at El Country Club de La Habana in 1941 and reads CAMPEONATO FEMENINO DE CUBA VENCEDORA 1941 beneath the country club logo and name. It’s a charming two handled cup with a lovely lapover edge and base. And the handles have decorative scroll designs at their mounts. It was made Mauser Mfg. Co., New York, N.Y. at the turn of the last century. Apparently, it made its way to Cuba decades later as a presentation piece for this women’s sporting competition. It is fully hallmarked and it is in beautiful condition. It stands 6 in. tall and measres 4 ¾ in. at the mouth and 7 ½ in. handle to handle. Price: $1,850.00 Stock #BC931 |
