| This is a lovely silver gilt pill box embellished with emerald, ruby, and diamond chips with small seed pearls. This shaped trapezoidal box has elegant Rococo curves. The sides are decorated with a lovely flower and scroll band against a stippled background. The hinged lid has sides with bands of zig-zag decoration and the top is decorated with a central eagle, whose body is studded with diamonds and wings studded with rubies. The eagle is surrounded by scrolls and leaves and flowers that are studded with pearls, diamonds, and emeralds. It is in very good condition with its original rich patina and brilliant gold-washed interior. It measures approx. 3/4” high, 1 1/2” long and 1 ½” wide.
