| This is a beautiful pair of 14 karat gold earrings in the Etruscan style with lovely enamel plaques. Each earring is comprised of a gold scroll earwire with a small circular accent from which hangs an inverted V-shaped support for the oval pendant plaques framed in gold. Both the pendants and circular pieces are decorated with delicate gold Etruscan beading and wirework to form intricate designs of scrolls, circles, and twisted bands. The plaque is beautifully decorated and finely detailed, each with a dove, but one holding a flower garland with a pan-flute in the background, and the other with a bouquet. Both scenes are framed with a dark navy blue background with cream colored dots. All of the enameling is extremely fine and has gorgeous iridescent coloration. Each earring measures approx. 2 1/8” long and approx. 3/4” high. This pair of antique earrings is a fine example of American jewelry design from the turn of the twentieth century, and would make a lovely addition to any jewel box! Price: $2,850.00 Stock #324 |
