| This is a gorgeous and unusual sterling silver vase with enamel decoration by an unknown American designer that combines the styles of the Arts and Crafts Movement and Art Nouveau. This stunning small vase has an elegant, elongated body that tapers dramatically to the circular base and has a lovely flaring shoulder that supports the small rim that forms the circular opening at the top of the vase. Both the base and the rim are slightly curled echoes the naturalism of the vase’s sensuous and organic decoration. Encircling the body are tall and short abstracted flowers that include elegant leaf-like twists and entwined curls each accented with painterly enamels of turquoise, spring green, and yellow. Additional leafy accents in green and yellow encircle the base. The beautiful serpentine lines of this decoration create a dramatic design that is the epitome of the Art Nouveau style. This vase measures approx. 5 1/2” high, approx. 2 ½” in diameter, and an opening of approx. 1 1/2” in diameter. It is in excellent condition and is marked under the base with the word STERLING.
