| This is a lovely pair of sterling silver baskets by a London Silversmith in a timelessly refined neoclassical design. Each oval basket stands on four delicate bracket feet and has elegant flared sides that are intricately pierced with bands of geometric decoration including egg and dart bands, rectangular panels, and ropework. The rim forms and architectural-inspired pediment topped with a classical urn draped with laurel garland. Both the rim and bottom of the bowl are trimmed with a delicate and simple beaded border. This pair of baskets is in excellent condition and has been expertly crafted; each is fully hallmarked on the rim and includes the maker's mark of William Hutton & Sons LTD.
Each basket measures approx. 4" high, approx. 8 1/4" long, approx. 5 1/4" wide and together weigh 14.5 troy ounces.
