The Knight is grounded on a circular stand and is poised proudly in full costume with a shield at his right with an elaborate coat-of-arms, and a sword on his left hip. A dagger is tucked underneath his right arm, and a crown is placed atop his handsome carved ivory head. The Queen stands in a modest pose with her ivory hands in a gesture of receiving. Her long gown reaches to the top of the base in gentle folds, and covers her body in an intricate pattern of flowers and leaves rendered as a sumptuous damask cloth. An elaborate crown and cap compliments the stately and serene expression of her carved ivory head. Each figure has been modeled with lovely details and exceptional craftsmanship.
