| This is beautiful and rare sterling silver double ink well and tray by the premier American silversmiths at Tiffany & Co. in the Wave Edge pattern that captures the essence of the Art Nouveau style. Standing on four ball feet, this rectangular tray has the wonderful Wave Edge scroll and shell border and supports three compartments. On the left and right is a square inkwell, each with its original cobalt glass liner, and in the center a rectangular compartment. Each is decorated with the Wave Edge border, and has a domed lid embellished with vegetal decoration and a leafy finial; engraved scrolls accentuate the sides of the compartments. Like all of Tiffany’s work this double inkwell has been expertly crafted and decorated from heavy gauge silver with the upmost skill. This double inkwell and tray measures approx. 4” high, 10 ½” long, and 5 ¾” wide, and is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 9621, order number 8916, and the letter M for John C.
