| This is a lovely sterling silver two-handled cup or trophy by the highly regarded American silversmiths at Black, Starr & Frost in a classic design. Standing on a circular, stepped pedestal base this large cup has a pear-shaped body and curved rim that compliment its bold C-scroll side handles. The rim and base of the body and the foot are each trimmed with a reed motif bound with a spiraling floral garland. The handles are likewise accented with leafy flourishes that add a decorative and pretty touch in contrast to the undecorated body. This trophy is in excellent condition and has not been monogrammed but has a wonderful surface for engraving. It is finely crafted and would make a striking addition to any trophy case. It measures approx. 8” high, 12” long over the handles, and the opening of the cup is approx. 6 1/2” in diameter. It weighs approx. 27 troy ounces, and is marked under the base with the maker’s mark of Black, Starr & Frost, the word Sterling, and pattern number 1523.
