| This is a striking gilded bronze picture frame executed in an elegant and bold neoclassical style. The rectangular frame has a thick outer border with a comprised of bands of beading and garland. The center is accented with flowers flanked with bellflower garland, and scrolling floral bouquets in each corner. An inner band of deep red guilloche enameling is framed with a leafy border and accented with bold scrolling cornucopia in each corner and floral baskets supported in scrolls at the center of each side. The top of the frame is surmounted with a magnificent leafy swag tied in the center with a curling ribbon. The back of the frame is covered in fabric and has a hinged wire stand, and loop for hanging. The frame is in excellent condition with very fine decoration. The frame measures approx. 8 3/4" wide and approx. 12" high. The interior opening measures approx. 5 1/4" wide x 7" high.
