| This is an unusual set of four sterling silver candlesticks by American silversmiths J. Wagner & Sons in an elegant Moderne style. Each stands on square and circular domed base that supports a tapered square stem with an urn-form socket. Each also has square removable wax-pan. Both the wax-pan and the base are trimmed with a decorative border of abstract leaf designs in the neoclassical style. The design of these candlesticks is an elegant combination of classical form with modern styling. These candlesticks are in excellent condition and are very fine quality. Each measures approx. 9 3/4” high with bases approx. 3 3/8” square. Each is marked under the base with the maker’s mark of Dominick & Haff, the words Sterling and Weighted and Re-enforced, pattern number 1502.
