| This is a gorgeous sterling silver porringer by Tiffany & Co. in the Baltimore style with wonderful repoussé decoration. This round porringer has gently curved sides and a lovely scroll, bracket handle with an elaborate pierced design and engraved floral designs. The body is ornately decorated with flowers and scrolls that are exuberant and naturalistic. The decoration is further enhanced with a stippled background that adds texture to the piece. This porringer in excellent condition and is very fine quality and heavy gauge. It measures approx. 2” high, and approx. 5 1/2” in diameter, and weighs approx. 8 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 5785, order number 7180, and the letter M for Edward C. Moore, head of Tiffany’s silver production from 1873-1891. This lovely antique silver porringer is a wonderful find in this timeless Victorian style.
