| This is a lovely and unusual sterling silver porringer by Tiffany & Co. in a traditional design with a stunning hammered finish. This round porringer has gently curved sides and a lovely scroll, bracket handle with a pierced design. This is a classic design that has been modernized with an Arts and Crafts finish that beautifully catches light. This piece in excellent condition and is very fine quality and heavy gauge. It measures approx. 2” high, and approx. 4 1/2” in diameter. Each is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 5050, order number 5589, and the letter M for Edward C. Moore, head of Tiffany’s silver production from 1873-1891. This striking porringer would make a fine and unexpected decorative accent.
