| This is a charming pair of American sterling silver candlesticks by Adelphi & Co. in a modern yet decorative style. Each stands on a domed circular base and has a plain cylindrical stem supporting a flat, circular wax pan. A delicate band of dentil-work circles the base of the stem which is also decorated with a floral wreath draw with a bow at the bottom. The small-scale of these candlesticks makes them particularly unique and they would be most useful for casual dining or as accent lighting. These candlesticks are in excellent condition and each measures approx. 5 1/4” high with bases approx. 3” in diameter. Each is marked under the base with the maker’s mark of Adelphi Co., the word Sterling 925/100, and pattern number 289.
