| This is a gorgeous pair of sterling silver five light candelabra by the premier American silversmiths at Gorham in a lovely Edwardian design. Each stands on a spreading circular base with a curvaceous baluster-shaped stem and a central urn shaped socket supporting removable arms each also with an urn-shaped socket. The arms are elegantly curved and formed as leafy scrolls, while the rim of the sockets is each trimmed with scroll decoration. The base is also trimmed with a delicate border of leafy scrolls complimented by a leafy petal-form design circling the base. These candelabra are perfectly proportioned creating an elegant and timeless silhouette. Each is excellent condition, and measures approx. 13” high, with bases approx. 4 1/4” in diameter. Each is marked under the base with the mark Gorham, the words Sterling, Cement Filled Reinforced with Rod of Other Metal, and pattern number 750. These beautiful five-light candelabra are a wonderful example of the rich style and quality of American silver.
