| This is gorgeous sterling silver compote by Tiffany & Co. in an ornate design. Standing on four bracket scroll feet the wide flaring bowl of this compote has magnificent pierced and engraved decoration forming a wide band of latticework punctuated with flowers and surrounded by leafy designs. The rim is trimmed with a scroll and shell band accented with floral bouquets. Like all of Tiffany’s work this bowl is heavy gauge silver and has been expertly crafted. This compote measures approx. 2 3/4” high and 9” in diameter, and weighs approx. 15.5 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 81C, and the letter T for its founder Charles L. Tiffany, used from 1891-1902.
