This large, shaped-oval centerpiece bowl stands on a stepped, oval pedestal base. The bowl has deep sides with an undulating rim that is trimmed with a wide, dynamically sculptural border of scrolls and roses that emphasize the curves of the rim. This centerpiece bowl in excellent condition and its decoration shows exceptional quality. It measures approx. 4” high and approx. 14 1/2” long, and weighs approx. 40 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the maker’s mark of Frank M. Whiting, the word Sterling, pattern name Talisman Rose, and patter number 1681.
