| This is a fantastic 139 piece sterling silver flatware service by the premier silversmiths at Gorham in the St. Dunstan pattern, named for the patron saint of silversmithing. This wonderful pattern features a rectangular sectioned handled with a lovely border and interior sections decorated with flowers and scrolls in the grotesque style. This service includes 12 dinner knives (9 ½”), 12 dinner forks (8”), 12 butter knives (5 ¾”), 12 luncheon/salad (6 3/4”), 12 tablespoons (7 ¼”), 12 cream soup spoons (7”), 12 seafood forks with gold wash tines (5 1/2”), 12 bullion spoons (5 1/4"”), 12 teaspoons (6”), 12 demitasse spoons with gold wash interiors (4 ¼”), 12 lemonade spoons (8”), 4 large serving spoons (8 ¾”), 1 carving fork (11 ¼”), 1 carving knife with stainless steel blades (14 ½”), and 1 gravy ladle with a gold wash interior (7”). Each piece is marked (excluding the steel bladed knives and carving items) on the obverse with the words Sterling, Pat 1916 and with the maker’s mark of the Gorham Manufacturing Company, and some pieces are marked with the letter H designating Heavy Gauge. Each piece is monogrammed with the initials HKE. The service is in excellent condition with only typical wear and it retains its soft original finish.
