| This is a beautiful set of eight sterling silver bread and butter plates by the renowned silversmiths at Gorham in the classic Chantilly pattern. Each small circular plate has a plain field with a shaped circular rim trimmed with a scroll border and accented with leafy designs at intervals. The design is repeated on the rim with a meandering, strap-work scroll motif. Each plate is in excellent condition and measures approx. 6 1/4” in diameter, and together weigh approx. 26 troy ounces. Each is marked under the base with the maker’s mark of Gorham, the word Sterling, and pattern number 738.
